About synthEd

synthEd builds focused software for K–12 school leadership. Our first product, School Planner, is the operating system for a school's year — every recurring event, task, and deadline across every department, in one mobile-first place.

Schools spend the summer rebuilding the same calendar from last year's emails and last year's PDFs. School Planner makes that calendar a living artifact that rolls forward automatically and never starts from scratch.

Jeremy Hamasu — co-founder & CEO. Career educator and school administrator. Previously with District 6 in southern Oregon. Brings the operating reality of running a school year into every product decision.

Alex Black — co-founder & CTO. Software engineer with two decades of building software products. Leads engineering and the product surface.

What we believe

Schools deserve software that's built with educators, not at them. Our cadence is short, our surface area is narrow, and the only metric that matters is whether the first week of school feels less chaotic than the last one.
